Kyle and Carol Lorton have been married for 25 years, and are the proud parents of two teenagers, Brendan (United States Military Academy, West Point, Class of 2014), and Paige (River Hill High School, Class of 2013).

Kyle is currently the Sales Director for North and South America for a specific product line of W.R. Grace, and works out of the company's Columbia, Maryland headquarters. He has dedicated his working life to improving our nation's energy sector. Along the way he has become familiar with the challenges of global energy supply and the promise of renewable energy sources.

During his earlier years working for Dow Chemical, Rexene Products, and a short stint at the old Gulf Oil, Kyle has traveled extensively across our nation and the world. He now lives in Highland, Maryland.

Kyle graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in finance. He played football for four years and was named to the All-ACC Academic team. Kyle also received his M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in Texas.

Outside of work, Kyle is an active community member. He has been a Junior Achievement volunteer, and he has been active with the Retriever Aquatic Club, where Brendan and Paige have swam competitively. He has also been an active member in the churches the Lortons have attended. For instance, Kyle was an elder in the Howard County Presbyterian Church. During that time he helped to select a pastor for a small start-up church. The Lortons now attend Grace Community Church.

Kyle enjoys a wide range of social activities and hobbies, ranging from gardening and landscape design to biking and swimming. He is an avid sports fan (Go Terps!) and a physical fitness enthusiast. Kyle's a long-standing member of the Maryland Terrapin Club, the M Club, and the Maryland Gridiron Network.
